Water is the most important thing of our lives. My day starts and ends with water. When I wake up, the first thing I do is to drink a glass of water. I use water to brush my teeth and to have a bath along with using the toilet. In almost all the moments of my waking life, I use water somehow or the other. Just like water is important to me, water is important to each and every living being living in the world. If we did not have water for even a single day, then our survival would be at risk.
In the earlier days people used to go to the source of water and collect the amount of water they needed in their pots. But now due to the progress that man has made by connecting pipes and taps and getting water directly to their houses, people are not using water judiciously and are taking water for granted. Have we really progressed?
To prevent the catastrophe of water finishing from the earth we will all have to start saving and conserving water from now onwards. There are many ways to save water like using our clothes, utensils, toilets responsibly. Every drop of water counts. Water is the true medicine of our lives indeed. It is one of the greatest gifts given to mankind by nature. Let each one of us make a difference as every drop in the ocean counts!
